Generally, the exclamation point is used to flag posts. That way, Mylot people can check them out and make sure they are appropriate.

Like the others said, it's to report a post to mylot so they can decide if it needs to be deleted. Generally it's for posts which are abusive and vulgar, but really any post that violates the guidelines in any way could be grounds for a report. The thing to remember though, is that it's not to be used just because you don't like what the person had to say or because they disagreed with you.

that one is for abuse, if you see something that should not be on mylot then you use that one and you advise them it is in violation of guidelines and they will delete the post.

The exclamation point (!) is used for reporting discussions or posts that violates the guidelines, check the guidelines to be aware of it so you won't lose a point in your post count. Once a discussion gets removed or deleted, you're ratings and earnings will be affected as well. You're stars might go down, you're earnings will decrease and points will be deducted..

i guess many have already answered your question but i'm going to answer it anyway. the exclamation point is for reporting a discussion or a myLotter to the myLot admin as an offensive post/myLotter. this is our tool to request myLot to delete a discussion or ban a user. ![](/Content/images/emotes/happy.gif)
