You worst enemy could be my best friend and vice versa

While reading this quote in a book. I took sometime to really think about what that means. To me this means that our perspectives are limited to our own wants and desires. I could be really upset that I got fired from a job and think my boss the worst person in the world but to their family perhaps that same person is a hero and a confident and best friend. I also read somewhere that even a murderer is someones son, brother, friend and/or lover. I'm just wondering what others think on this matter. Or if you have ever made an friend out of someone you once thought was an enemy or the opposite and why, what circumstances put our view of people into little boxes we define as good or bad?

Thats true. Not really sure where you are going with the murderer thing but I understand the whole aspect. I had a best friend but she turned out to be someone I didn't like at all. And I had a physical fight in highschool with a girl who became my bestfriend after that. Its funny how things work out. You really have to get to know someone before you can judge them. I have done that for awhile now and it amazes me how differently things turn out then I had expected.

Thanks Bethygrl ya I agree it is amazing how things turn out. The whole murderer thing is for sure not what I want in a friend or my friends to do. I don't think anyone should hurt anyone. I was just using a drastic example of how we don't really know every side of someone. I wonder what it is that draws us to like or dislike someone.
