I'm trying to make money online so I can quit my job. What do you think?

I have tried several options in the last 6 months in order to try to start making a living online because I would like to quit my 2 jobs and spend more time with my husband. I have made a little money at a couple of things, but not a lot of money at anything.
I have found this new program that I find very interesting and think that I will finally achieve what I want. I would like to know if anyone out there will read about this program and tell me what they think. The concept is that you pay $5.00 for the program and promote it and can make $34,000.00 or more in a short time.
I would like you to look at the site and give me your honest opion about what you think of it. Should I continue or try something else.
Thanks in advance for letting me know what you think.
Patsy

Hi patsyp6,
My personal advice on this subject is - if they want you to pay for their "opportunity', then don't walk, run AWAY from it as fast as you can!
The $5 program that you mention is most likely just one more pyramid scheme among the millions of pyramid schemes out there on the Internet. Sure, they tart themselves up to look legitimate, but when you peel away all the onion skins, what you're left with is just another pyramid.
Pretty much ANY legitimate Internet income takes effort to earn - time, patience, creativity, and plain old work.
It CAN be done - you CAN make money - but if they ask you to pay for your "opportunity" then it's more than likely to be a scam.
A LOT of Internet "businesses" which run affiliate schemes use the cunning technique of piggy-backing a pyramid onto their core business of flogging some products. That way, as an affiliate, they are guaranteed to make money out of you even if you are unsuccessful in flogging their products for them. So remember that - if they want you to pay a monthly fee for your "membership" in their business, even if they provide products for you to "market", then it's a pyramid tacked onto the back of their product flogging scheme.
If you're unsure about a "business" and can't figure out if it's fully legitimate (and they try hard to make themselves APPEAR to be legitimate by embedding their ponzi schemes into businesses which on the surface MIGHT be legitimate) then ask yourself this question - if you TOOK AWAY the "affiliate program", would the business be viable? If you stripped the affiliate commissions or "bonuses" away from your "earnings", would you still buy their product instead of buying a similar product somewhere else? If the answer is "NO", then walk away from it, because in that case it's ethically questionable and depends on exploiting the desires and ambitions of new recruits to make a profit.
I can think of one web-site hosting and domain name provider which operates on an "affiliate" model which is firmly in the "unethical" category IMO. Their product is ridiculously expensive compared to numerous other excellent products which are freely available on the open market, and half of all their "membership" fees go towards paying "commissions". In other words, it's a pyramid scheme which has been piggy-backed onto sales of a comparatively very low-quality product. And that's just ONE example out of many, many such "businesses" on the Internet.
And it's even worse if the whole business consists of just recruiting OTHER people into the scheme and making profit off their "membership" fees, WITHOUT even selling anything of tangible value at all - in that case, you'd be up to your neck in a bona-fide pyramid scheme. And most of those get-rich-quick Internet "programs" are just that.
Righto - having said all of THAT (and I believe that the "program" you are referring to in your post is not to be recommended if you really do want to make some honest income from the Internet) there ARE many many ways to make money on the Internet.
Here's a list of sites to have a peek at when you have a spare few hours - and it will take many hours to actually start making some headway with them, but if you put in the effort, you will find a few options that DO work for you -
Writing Sites:
http://www.authspot.com/writers
http://www.espressofiction.com/writers
http://www.writers.net/writers
http://www.suite101.com
http://www.wisebread.com
http://www.articlewarehouse.com
http://www.constant-content.com
http://www.contentsyndicate.com
http://www.blogsvertise.com
http://payperpost.com
http://hubpages.com
http://www.scriptlance.com
http://www.rentacoder.com
Expertise Sites:
http://www.kasamba.com
http://www.justanswer.com
Market Sites:
http://www.cafepress.com
http://www.spreadshirt.com
http://www.snapfish.com
Three things I should add here, just so there's no misunderstanding -
1. You will notice that there's no referral links or affiliate numbers associated with any of those sites listed here. That's because I'm not attempting to make money off of you - so you know my heart is pure, and what I'm telling you is the truth.
2. The list above is just what I could think of off the top of my head and scratching around here for a couple of minutes. There is much much more available out there if you just make the effort and take the time to seek it out.
3. YOU have to take the time to develop an income off your own bat, with your own creativity and effort. You HAVE to offer something of REAL VALUE that someone else is willing to pay you for. The truth is, no-one else is really interested in making money for anyone but THEMSELVES - so don't believe the propaganda about building a huge income from some "affiliate program" or other - especially when they ask you for money - chances are they'll make money, and you'll lose it. Be discerning - VERY discerning - about where you place your valuable time and effort.
I do sincerely hope you achieve your objective of being able to earn an income from home. There's no reason that you can't - and every reason that you can, because having the intention is the seed. But YOU have to grow that seed, share it's disappointments and pain, overcome its obstacles, seek out its purpose and make it live.
No-one else will. If you think you can, if you BELIEVE that you can, then you can. But you must close the circle by DOING it, to make it happen.

Hi patsyp6,
Another one you might like to look at -
http://www.disciplescross.com
This site offers an opportunity to manufacture items at home, and they have a guaranteed buy-back agreement in place.
BUT you will need to evaluate this for yourself.
If I could do this, I would (but I can't, because it's only available to US residents).
If it IS legitimate (and it looks pretty convincing) then you might be able to give up those two jobs and stay at home within one or two months.
Be warned, though - like any legitimate income, this would take quite some time and effort to make a go of it. Not a get-rich-quick scheme, more like a job, but at least it's simple and easy to understand what needs to be done to obtain a given level of monthly income.
And you WOULD be your own boss.

Would you say you are a nice person Dodoguy ? I would say you must be.
Patsy6, this guy has given you the best advise there is I think. I hate that there are so many scams everywhere, and I get very annoyed by affiliated persons. You obviously work very hard for your money with 2 jobs on the go. Dont give in to the trickery. Try think of doing something you love and that you are good at. Be creative. Good Luck !!

Netwinner please;I've never came close to winning anything on that site. It's more of a gambling site than a work at home site. All I ever got from that site is points, some people on this myLot site complains about netwinner how they get a few measly points or maybe a gift card if they're lucky. You are one of the lucky ones to have won some cash.I would not reccomend that site for earning money.

It sounds like a scheme...Which would be way too scary for me. It really depends on where the money to pay you is coming from. If the program is set to take everyone's five dollars and then pay those above that person, eventually there won't be any money to pay the people toward the bottom. Always make sure you can see where the money for the site or program comes from. How are they paying you and how are they making money?
I don't know about making thousands in a short time, but you can grow an income online that can replace your outside income. I started working online in August (and have tried and abandoned a lot of different types of things), but have a steadily growing income in a few different categories. I now am making about $500-700 a month, and can only see that growing with all that I am doing. Our goal is for my income to become about $4,000 a month (and us to save a large amount of money) by 2011 and then for my husband to quit. We would then work together, start doing the crafts market and fairs circuit with our hand crafts, and also raise our kids. I am feeling pretty good about it...
You can find out more information in my profile and my blog that is listed there.

Hello there patsyp6, I think that the site you mentioned is probably a scam. If you love writing reviews, you might want to try this particular site that I would like to recommend. You can PM me and I'll pass you the link. You'll be paid for writing reviews and payment is made through paypal; the same as mylot. It is also an honest site like mylot and pays well and better. However, it could never beat the fun out of mylot, in my best opinion. But I love both of these sites and spend most of my time there. PM me for details and have a nice day. ;)

I never ever pay these so-called get-rich-schemsters they're just a waste of time. I bet that whatever their selling, you can get it 100% free right here on the internet. You have to do research on what you really want or have a mind in doing.Search the web I like ezine article.com it has loads of topics about starting your own online business,so stop being lazy and do your own investgations, then you will see that you can get what they're selling for free as in no money spent at all.Plus most of them are total scams thats the reason they want payment up front.

Hello, Patsyp6, I also want to have a homestyle. Let us make it!
Dodoguy gave very good analysis and suggestion and encouragement. The others also gave very good comment. Thank you for start this discussion.
My suggestion is also not to join in this programme. It seems a scam. Try some other ways online to make money. And I think we can try the websites gaven by responsors.I think it would be good to start earning money on line step by step. The beginning is a little bit hard but as time goes by, you can succeed as long as you stick to your dream.
Anyway I do believe in diligence. Do not give up. You will be the winner.
