Kristy Lee Cook is GONE!

I honnestly thought she should have gone a few weeks ago. But to her credit, she was showing some signs of improvement, but she isn't at the level vocally that the most of the remaining contestants do. I have some concerns for Brooke, because I think she's still a little weak and unsure of herself. But I like her anyway.

I am so sad to see KLC go. She has personality and charm all rite. Being an outdoor girl and someone who can knock out boys with your self defense is a lethal combination. Bye Kristy wish you well and I hope to see you maybe not in AI anymore but on other things. woowoow you ride a horse like the wind.. that video footage of your departure.

I won't argue that Kristy is talented. She does sing well, but I don't think she is of the caliber that the rest of them are. I don't notice so much the "whiny" sound that Simon mentioned last nite as much as the Twangy thing she has going. I find it annoying, like she is trying to put a country inflection on everything she sings and she's from like Washington State or Oregon or something like that????? She tries to imitate the sound of someone from say Oklahoma or Texas or Tennessee. It's annoying. Do I vote? Not since Chris Daughtry got eliminated well before he should have. I still think something was fishy there. (But given that he had bands beating down his door making him offers before he was ever eliminated kind of makes me think this was a way for him to get out of being strapped to a more strict contract with 19 Entertainment.) I don't complain, actually, should David Cook be eliminated before it's over, it will just prove my point. Randy, Paula and Simon all agree he is the whole package and is ready to go cut an album now and it will be a big seller. Time will tell.

I pretty much knew it had to be Kristy or Brook. Their performances really were the weakest last nite. Jason is great, but I see David Cook winning it all. But Jason is so versatile... I have liked about everything he has sung so far.

OH I'm sure she'll get a contract for a country cd. But her audience will be limited. They should come up with a better format. Say, get down to 6 or so then have a final ranking vote. Then put out cd's on each of them. Say, like a 5 song cd from each, and let the record sales speak for themselves. The best of the best will rise to the top of the charts.
