Really would depend on the person and the situation. Generally I'd have to say "yes" because whether I like to admit this or not, I'm far from perfect myself. What would I like someone to do if I did something? I would want them to forgive me.
I've also learned a valuabe lesson: forgiveness. Four years ago I did something I said I'd never do: I cheated on my then fiance. When he arrived I never told him what I had done. After his trip was over he left and fell into temptation and did the same to me. The thing is, he forgave me and has always forgiven me, even though I couldn't or wouldn't do the same for him.
It's a two way street.

I wouldnt say i'm too forgiving. I'd say i give people too many extra chances to redeem themselves. I remember the hurtful or damaging mistakes...I forgive (or try to) but The worse they are the less likely i am to forget.
It takes me a lot of being disappointed or hurt to give up and not give extra chances. Maybe i'm just a slow learner when it comes to other people.

I might be considered too forgiving but I don't think I am. Here's the main reason, no one's perfect and I've done a lot of things I wished people would forgive me for and they did and it's out of respect for others that I do forgive. We all make mistakes and we all do things we aren't proud of and who am I to say, you don't deserve my forgiveness? I am no better or worse than anyone else. I know that my life has been changed by people who have forgiven me with no reason to. I would simply not be as kind or as loving without their forgiveness so I think it's really important that I forgive others.
Wow, I had a lot more to say on this than I thought. Thank you for asking! Are you too forgiving?
