Hello guys! I have a planned to buy a guitar and I'm just a beginner in playing it.I know that there are different kinds of guitars, so, which should I buy? One of friends told me that it's ok for me if I choose acoustic guitar. And how can you say that a guitar is a good quality? Looking forward to your response. I hope you can give me a nice advice and info.

i play bass guitar and sometimes rhythm guitar. i can say that your friend is right to buy an acoustic guitar for you to use as practise. it will save you electricity and you can practise even at night for it is not noisy. you dont have to make the neighbors go crazy. buy electric guitar if you are ready for the next level. goodluck

My partner is a rock guitarist and he recommends that you go into a good reputable guitar shop and try out as many as you can before you make any decision. He tends to prefer Fender Stratocasters and Telecasters or his favourite Gibson Les Paul Classic but he has a collection of around 35 guitars now, ranging from a gorgeous Martin 12 string acoustic up to A Fender LoneStar Stratocaster.
Your best plan would be to try before you buy, see what feels comfortable for you, check out the weight of a guitar too, and the balance. You can usually tell by the feel of a guitar when you try it out and any reputable shop will be more than happy for you to spend time there trying all the guitars out first.

Hmmm.. so what's the best for me about the weight of the guitar? Yah, that's a good advice, I will do that.

I have a friend here in Aus who is considered a guitar wizard and going through a music part of a shop a few months ago there was all these guitars and I said how some of them looked really good he said they were crap and he handed one to me and said feel how light that is, when we got back to his place he handed me one of his and said see how heavy that is...gee there was a big difference, he said you get what you pay for in guitars, I know his favourite one is a Les Paul guitar, that one is his pride and joy...good luck in your search, I guess it is better to go for a not so expensive one to start off with to see if your interest lasts, my friend has about 17 guitars all different so if you keep with it and are good i guess you will end up having a few as well....

i would suggest acoustic..any that you can afford..i started playing with a very very very very cheap kapok guitar (maybe you never even heard of it before)..but yes as someone earlier stated, you get what you pay..i bought a flamenco admira and note a very big difference between those two..
solid body acoustics should be perfect for you..happy playing..
