There are so many things that are important when raising a child. Personally I think, among many other things, I think its important not to impose my political, religious, or other beliefs on my child but expose him to the all the information and give him the freedom to form his own beliefs and opinions.
What do you think?

To me the most important thing parents can teach their children is that they are truly loved, respected and cared for by their parents.
That if anyone would attempt to do anything that could harm their child, that person would be confronted and dealt with in an appropriate manner.
Exposure to the Arts and Sciences would be helpful also. With this knowledge and safety net I believe any child would have a good chance at making a fine contribution to his/her own livelihood as well as to society.

compassion, that is definitely a biggie, i completely agree. so many people today are indifferent to the struggles of others.

well, you can't really "teach" a child to have a personality. But i certainly think its important to teach a child to express themselves.
