Ive just noticed that younger women, teenagers or early twenties, seem to be more inclined towards skinnier, whereas older women seem to go for a slightly bulkier look. But one thing i do know is that very few women find excessive muscle sexy. Personally i like men that are very strong, in a lumberjack kind of way ( if that makes sense). Broad shoulders, big arms rough hands, strong back. However it has to be from work, not working out. I believe those two are entirely different. Well this is just my own opinion,so im wondering what most women prefers in a man in terms of body size.

I think that women look for the male equivalent of themselves. When woman are younger their metabolisms are faster, they have not had children and are generally slimmer, so they go for skinner men. Whereas after they have had children and their metabolisms have slowed down, they get larger and look for larger men. I think it is because women like to be small than their man.

I agree that men who build up their muscles excessively are not usually attractive to women whereas men who use their muscles, and have developed a good physique, from their work are often very attractive to women. I can find men attractive if they are thin or fat but I think all men should try to be healthy, eat well and get enough exercise.

for me, it doesn't matter if my partner was skinny or has muscles at all as long as we both like each other. that's the thing that matters to me

I could not agree more, lilpiknik. I am very attracted to the man who has gained his strength from working hard rather than working out in a gym. I'm not opposed to the man who works out especially if he has a sedentary type job. However my greatest attraction is to the lumberjack type. I also agree younger women seem more attracted to skinnier type men. Perhaps as we mature we see the brawny man as a more mature and protective type man who is more suited to providing for a family than the skinnier type.
