We are growing a large variety of tomatoes this year from very small to very large. We are even growing some yellow tomatoes. They are very healthy for you.

I like the romas or plum tomatoes as they are generally firm and not so gooey with seeds
another variety I like is yellow tomato
I like tomatoes just fine if there is a lot of firm flesh and very little gooey seed mess
I usually will seed my tomatoes, but not if making salsa.

Plum tomatoes are good for salsa as well. Do you know of any other varieties that have more 'meat' and less goo? I was told recently of the Amish paste tomato. We are getting ready to plant our garden so was hoping to find out more about a meatier tomato. Thanks for your response!

One of my clients gave me some tomatoes a couple of years ago. It was one of the best I had seen. It was thick with very little seeds. It tasted great. Unfortunately I never found out what it was.
I don't have much contact with them. My girlfriend usually talks to him and she never remembered to ask him what kind it was. I think it is because she doesn't like tomatoes. Selective memory.

I love tomatos too. I haven't planted any in a long time because I lived in an apartment. Now I have a yard I just might do that. I like ham, chees and tomato sandwichs. Also love salsa and put them in tossed salad.
