RSS or Rich Site Summary or Really Simple Syndication is a format for delivering regularly changing web content. Many news-related sites, weblogs and other online publishers syndicate their content as an RSS Feed to whoever wants it. RSS solves a problem for people who regularly use the web. It allows you to easily stay informed by retrieving the latest content from the sites you are interested in. You save time by not needing to visit each site individually. You ensure your privacy, by not needing to join each site's email newsletter. signup at http://feedburner.com. feedburner will burn a feed url for you. this is an example of a rss feed http://feeds.feedburner.com/it-aid http://it-aid.blogspot.com

I'm not sure what an RSS feed is either. I have seen and heard of it mant times. I will have to look through your discussion and see if someone knows what it is.

RSS stands for Real Simple Syndication. I won't go into all of the technical stuff, but basically it allows you to feed new content from a site to another site (or reader) using XML (there are other flavors, but this seems to be the most common). XML is just a very structured markup language like the one used to code your site. I see you're using a template and not posting to this site like a blog. I've seen RSS on static sites, but really don't get the point. You might do better to just build a "bookmark me" button and/or get together a mailing list to send out a periodic newsletter. That would likely go further on a static site. Just my 2 cents.
