I enjoy studying and learning about other people’s way of life and culture, even religions. This helps a lot in the way I relate with people,. As I was reading a book about India and some Chinese culture recently ,I came across the subject of reincarnation, which simply means that after death people come back in another form to right what they have have done wrong in previous lives, now I don’t mean to get into any form of arguments but I don’t believe in this thing called Reincarnation, some even went as far as saying that when a person dies they sometimes come back in the form of animals .What is your position on this and can this be true? I don’t believe in it personally

I think it's a neat concept. Being able to redress your past mistakes by living another life seems nice. I mean, there are many things I want to redo, things I have regretted. Although, I don't want to be born as a cockroach or a snake. I would like to be an albatross. :D

augustine87,it would have been nice if this were to be possible but really if you look at it critically each of us have those things we will like to correct but i think the best way to do that is to start apologising where its possible and not wait for something we are not even sure of,lets start by being better people than we are yesterday by that we can be said to have transformed and made corrections, how about that?

am happy that you did think about it as regard the issue of tha person forgetting you exist, its not an excuse if you can still reach that person one way or the other start by writing a letter or sending an sms if you can get hold of address or acell number ,you simply tell him?her who you are and apologise specifically am sure it will make a difference, you would have done your part and leave the rest to the person, also thanks for that book i will like to read it,life is just too short for us to leave without making things right, thanks for your response.

I do not think there is any way of 'knowing' wherther reincarnation is 'true' or not, but I do like to believe that a mass murderer would come back as a cockroach! More seriously, I think it does give some comfort to think that you will come back again in a different body, and that somehow you are connected to your loved ones, and they will come back too and somehow you could find eachother, through this cosmic-ness. My beliefs are very loose regarding reincarnation, however, and I do prefer to think that I'll go on to a different place, somewhere better than Earth. I do think we're all here to learn, and once we have evolved beyond a certain spirituality we need return here again. But, in the end, who knows?

I am not really sure if I totally believe in it either. I think when we die, we just due. Yes we do turn to dust but the only eway to be reincarnated is if our dust is eaten by some other plant, animal or human. Part of would live inside of them. that is just my thoughts.

I do belive in this not by reading books or coming across news articles. I do agree that in books they say you will have one more life and that depends on what kind of a person you are in this life. I dont know how far the researchers will agree with this. Let me share one of my real life experience with you which made me belive that reincarnation is not just a myth. Leaving aside the books and tv shows through which we come to know about reincarnation. I have come across a person in a near by town to my place, who always used to claim that he was from a place which is nearly 500 miles away from his. He being a kid and every one used to wonder how come this kid knew that place. When taken to that place he roamed all over the town as if it was very familiar to him and met few people saying his name is some XYZ and started asking them their wheare abouts. It was soo weird to all those people who were with that kid and they finally had to accept that he has taken rebirth.

I dont believe in religion as a whole, and this belief falls into the same category. However if you are/were a christian, before you could say 'i dont believe in this,' youd have to look at how they probably feel about a lot of the things we believe. I think its funny that we always are so quick to denounce religions of foreign cultures when in fact our local religions are just as silly.

i guess you have misunderstood me here,if you read my post well i never mentioned anything about my being a christain or otherwise but in any case i am a christian and i dont think my religion is stupid or silly,my faith is solid in what i believe ,but that is not the issue now,the issue is i stated that the issue of my not believing in reincarnation,is basically personal and not religion based so i dont see where tah came into play here, dont misquote me thanks!
