My failed nasturtium lie - ever tried this one?

When I was at school we had a project to grow a nasturtium plant. You know, Day three a shoot, day 5 2 inches tall etc.
Well, I got really bored with this and gave my plant an early "deceased" tag. However, I was too young to know that plants are not like people, they don'tjust keel over, the do interesting (to my teacher) things like shrivel, drop leaves etc.
She was a wily old so and so though. She said what a shame it was then gave me another seed so I could have another try at the experiment so I had to do the whole boring thing over again.
You don't have to yell or be violent to make your point, do you? This time I did it properly because I could see that until I got a healthy, blooming plant I was going to be stuck with making notes.
Strangely enough, I love gardening now :-)

Haha bless ya hun, nice try but as you say your teacher outsmarted you! No, I've never tried this one as we were never given projects like this at school. I can't think of anything clever I tried to do at school to outsmart my teachers - I guess I was too much of a goody two shoes to try to get out of things. Just kept my head down and got on with it. Maybe we should have had stuff like this, because to this day I hate gardening and just refuse to try to grow any kind of plant or flowers in my garden. They're like a jungle, both front and rear gardens LOL!
