i have recently found out that i prefer to text. it's just easier for me and this way everyone is not in your conversation when you are walking down the street or on the bus. i have unlimted texting on my phone plan now so i text everyone instead of calling

I agree that sending text messages is much easier but it does add one more layer to the communication barrier.

I definitely talk more. I could never understand all the word configurations of texting and there are words they don't cover. At least I think so. Talking is so easy. Just dial and talk. Maybe if you're sending love messages its better to text. But, for me, talking is so much better.

Texting.. It works out cheaper and easier for me. I hate talking on the cellphone, so If I want to have a conversation with someone, I just message them and we chat on the messages.. The advantage of texting is that it can be done silently without much fuss and noise. I text my friends when I'm bored sitting in the class.. and thanks to the T9, I do not even look at the phone while typing... I just have to check the message before sending..

I talk on my mobile so rarely it's frightening!
I did use to have a phone phobia thing which now, with PR experience, I have now gotten over it, but I guess that could still be affecting me!
I do text much more than I talk; I like putting what I want to carefully considered words rather than be embarressed by stumbling over words or sounding a bit idiotic!
By far my favourite way of communication is email, though! If only I had an ipod phone! :)

Hi,
I use text messaging more than I call. I like to use text messaging because it is cheaper. Making phone calls are quite expensive. I can use the money to make phone calls to send a lot of text messages. I will only make phone calls when it is urgent or emergency.

I am a texter. I have unlimited texts on my phone, but only 200 minutes, so I text as it means that I don't go over my monthly contract. I also text a lot at night, so I can communicate with people, but not keep people awake while I talk.

I think I talk most but I also text a lot. Comparing these two, I think it is more economic and better to talk than to text..but however it depends on the situations. Some situations are more favorable for texting whereas some are better to talk:-)
