Do you choose who you help out?

There are lots of beggars and street kids roaming around and just waiting for passersby and just extend their hands to beg for alms, but do we immediately help them or give them money? Is giving money tolerating them to become more dependent to just stay there and beg and not doing something? It really hurts me to see little babies being used as a tool to draw people to give money. Some of them are even parents who use their children to run around busy streets and knock on people's cars just to beg. What really is the proper way of helping? Is it giving money, food or job? Is it bringing them to our homes and feed them?.......

Hmmmm... This one is tough, but I guess helping depends on how you personal feel and what you feel is right.
I personal think that helping them will really begin with them before I can effectively help them. :)

That's a great answer Tryx, I totally agree with you. I used to give to beggars but when I learned that most of these beggars are under a syndicate/gang,I stopped. We are not helping them by enabling them.

thanks for the response my friend....well maybe real giving is truly measured by what is inside our hearts.if we give hesitantly then it's like we don't give at all. When we give we should give cheerfully because God loves a cheerful giver....

It would intirely depend on whether or not that I could help myself out and do things that I needed to do like get food and stuff.
