I was on my way home from work tonight when I ended up following a car being driven by a mum with her 3 kids in the back seat.
As kids tend to do they were obviously playing up and mum kept turning around to talk to them. The problem was that every time she did so her car veered dangerously toward the center of the road and possible disaster for mum, kids and the other vehicle she could collide with.
PLEASE if you are in this situation either ignore what's happening in the back or PULL OVER to sort it out.
Another gripe.... If you are dropping your young kids off somewhere please do not get them out of the car on the off side. You could easily get them wiped out by a passing vehicle plus it is teaching a bad habit as one day they could get out of the car before you can react.

rovermadman this sort of thing happened to a doctor and his family where I used to work. they had two older kids and a baby in a carseat. He turned his attention for a moment to referee in a fight between the two older kids and the result": he turned he car over twice and came to rest off the road. The infant baby in the car seat somehow came loose and carseat and baby sailed out the door and into traffic. the infant was killed outright and he and his wife were both badly hurt and one of the two older kids was also killed. That doctor had a hard time getting over thataccident that should never have happened at all.

I always drag mine across to the path side wasnt easy as babies but then they were lifted out so wasnt a problem but now they think its great to slide out and across the car seats.
I dont drive but my partner never turns to look at them he has patience of a saint and just ignores their fights and screams id rather listen to that than a crash and deadly silence

This is a major pet peeve of mine. I understand that rowdy children can be a distraction, but I think safety here is more important. I abhor drivers who don't pay attention to driving.
