Did you feel the effects of the earthquake this morning? Were you affected by it at all. We are in Ohio and the dishes rattled, that was all.

I am in Minnesota and if we felt it here no one noticed. The good thing is that it seemed to do little damage anywhere. But I bet thats a little scary to feel not knowing for sure what it is.

Sorry to hear about the earthquake. It's good you didn't have anything damaged. I hope no one is hurt. I have a phobia with earthshakes. I have experience it two times and they both happened between midnight and dawn.

I have seen discussions about it but I did not feel it. I have felt them when I lived in California.

Nope I'm in Pennsylvania and I didn't feel it. I can't believe there was an earthquake in Ohio. I don't think I've ever heard of one being there before. Has that happened before? Was any place hit harder than you by it? I haven't heard anything about it yet, but I just got up like 20 min ago lol.

I was completely unaware of it. If I heard anything, I would have thought it was my husband stomping around.

No, I didn't feel the effects of the earthquake this morning, but it did shock the crap out of me. My husband left today with the guard to do excersises to prepare for the big one that will hit the Memphis area. It was ironic that the one with a 5.4 hit this morning. Hopefully, people in the areas of this fault line will wake up and see the bigger picture. In 1811 and 1812, a 7.8 and a 8.1 hit in less than a year of each other and it caused the MS river to run backwards. It was felt all the way up in Chicago and as far wide as Virgina Beach. With the 5.4, runs straight down towards the Gulf of Mexico all the way up towards Canada. California isn't the only state that has earthquakes. The link below tells more about the New Madrid fault line. After looking at the map of registered quakes it's creepy how some were really far into Middle TN, quite a distance away from the fault itself. The areas around the New Madrid have been recorded thousands of small earthquakes each day, and if one of 5.4 can hit IND, when will it hit again in the area that happened in 1811-1812. http://www.munichreamerica.com/content/iw/iw.asp?p=0&c=thrainsson_newmadrid&g=catmgmt&auth=thrainsson&em=hthrainsson@munichreamerica.com

I am up a little further than you in Ohio. I was asleep and did not wake until 6:30 am, so I did not feel a thing. I do not know what I would do if there was an earthquake at my house. I have no idea how I would react. I would probably freak out.

I am in Tennessee and if there were any shocks here from it, then I slept through them.. Hope everything is ok with everyone there.. I haven't watched the news yet today, but will catch up on it tonight..
