I would definitely choose cathedrals over Karaokes a hundred times. I am not fond of singing in public places. Although I like to sing in choirs but karaokes, videokes and the likes don't have so much appeal on me. Although, I wish I could sing and then maybe I will start liking karaokes.

I cant sing either Jemima...onlylike a strangled cat!!!!...i use to be in the church choir lol...but that was yeas ago!!! Im not to sure how i would get on with Karaoke...you have to follow the words on the screen...then sing along at the same time...seems a lot of jobs going on at once there!!!! Strangled cat? LOL! I still sing with the choir but of course it's easier. Actually, I did sing in a karaoke bar one time with my close friend. I couldn't match the pitch though so I had to sing in the lower octave. But I got 98 points LOL! If you know the song by heart you don't have to worry about timing.

Neither thanks! But given the choice I'd take the cathedrals over the karaoke. If I'm in a city centre on holiday then I like to just walk around. I suppose cathedrals would come into that, but really it's just absorbing the atmosphere that I like doing. It's been so long since I've been on holiday that I've just about forgotton how to do it actually!

Soaking up the ambience.!!!!!!lol...well you know that my holidays are about the same as your holidays Moo...but do we complain?????............ Maybe a walk aroun a cathedral with a cornet with a huge flake stuck in the ice cream could be construed as ok....

I would love to visit cathedrals and temples when given a chance. I don't go to Karaoke bars because I dont have the guts to sing in public. I would just sing inside our house where I am the boss and no one will be there to criticize me :-)

Neither!! If the cathedral is on my travels and is particularly beautiful I will pop in but not all the time. I love to sight see though. Karaoke is not my thing anymore, I used to do it years ago though.
