crisis with rice

we Filipinos are used to eat rice from breakfast to dinner, some even eat rice meal in between meals or what we called merienda. Now are we facing problem with the supply of rice in our country and even though our government already allowed the importation of rice from other countries yet we can't find any country who's willing to sell their rice. Some said that we should learn to eat bread instead of rice which we are used to, but due to the increase on prices of flour breads started to increase their prices too. I hope that this crisis will be over soon.
