How long can we kept on hold when requesting for friendship ?

Hi, I hope someone can answer me on this subject.
I make quite a number of be my friend request from lotters i came across once in a while. If I am approved thats fine i received a message acknowledging of a new friendship accepted.
But the problem is for those who have yet to accept an not rejected. Some of those requests are months old. I dont mind rejection.... but that was not done and am kept hanging on. I dont want to rerequest (if this can be done) as i may sound desperate.
But i dont want to delete the request for being afraid that they did not check thier friend's request section.
So is there a way to go about this ?

Well, there are many of us who have been around on here for quite a while, that sometimes might take a while approving Newer users due to we are really busy, and not in here as much as we would like to be, and also because some people in here might not add New people as quick unless they are very active on here. I know I have a lot of people in my friends area, and always going thru them from time to time to see if everyone is still active.
Wishing you the Best, and do not let it bother you. The more active a person is in here, the more people Trust them, and then your friends will come, and there will be no issue with this. Just continue to enjoy myLot, as it is a Great place to be.

It's rude, and I'm guilty of it! Last night I went through my requests and checked out everyone's profiles. Lots of nice people there!
It's possible that the people are just too darn busy and that task is low on their "to do" list. As in my case. But I'm glad I got it out of the way and hope my new friends don't think of me harshly.
