It is often said that Mozart's music can actually make your brain function better , or at least some components of intellectual function .
This concept was first described by French researcher, Dr. Tomatis in a book "pourqoui Mozart" which appeared in 1991 .He believed that listening to the music presented at different frequencies helped the ear and promoted healing and the development of the brain .
What is your opinion in regard to this theory?

Thank you for that information. I haven't heard that theory since I really don't listen to Mozart's music but hmmm... any music that is good to the ear is better and may really help us in someway.

you're welcome . the theory was quite controversial when first appeared , however another book-writer ,Don Campbell , wrote on 1997 about Mozart effect ,stating that his music reduces anxiety, stress ,improves memory (temporary increase IQ),improves creativity and clarity, reduces errors and activate the body .All this effects are supposed to be more intensive in children's behavior.

I've heard about that too.. Studies say that listening to Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's compositions, among other classical music, can tune up mind power. Since Mozart's musical pieces match the rhythm of the brain, hearing his tunes could be the "sound" advice to anyone wishing to be bright.
There's nothing to lose in taking chances and joining the band. Either you listen to Mozart because you're a genius, or hearing his music actually makes you one. In any case, the link between mind and Mozart will continue to rhyme.

i totally believe it. If you have an ear for music... you will be amazed at what you hear underneath the melodies! It is like having a conversation with somebody, but on a more intellectual level i suppose!
