Vanishing Lid Syndrome

Do you suffer with this too? You unscrew the cap, apply oodles of jam/jelly, or take out your pickled onion, whatever.
Now just where did that darned lid go? You scour the work surface, floor, any drawer you may have used - no lid!
Just WHERE do those lids hide!

Well you are lucky then, especially as I know you have lots of "helpers" there. Or are they the sort of helper who vanish at the sound of work starting on a meal? My "helpers" steal pieces of chicken and other delicacies then vamoos!

Well, I would steer clear too, I don't want a wooden spoon round my ears! Have you read the entry above? I haven't managed that one yet, lol.

I do this all the time drives me crazy lol. I always feel so stupid to cause I know I just had it.

In the toaster lol. I was making toast with pb and well somehow the lid ended up in the toaster. thankfully it was not to hot and the lid didnt melt.

oh wow! Even I haven't managed that one! I bet it gave you the shock of your life when it zipped out with the toast!
Sorry, I have had a little laugh. However, I am going to be very careful what I put near MY toaster in future! Thank you so much for that.

It is the fairies! The move things I am certain, just so they can laugh at us! Today is was my washing up liquid, there one minute, goen thenext. hunt whole house and garden in case I walked off with it and on my miserable return to confusion and finally the sink it was stood in the half sink trying to look likeit had been there all the time, hmmph!

lol...uh..nope..sorry..I don't lose the lids to things.
Just bread ties. I will open the bag for a few slices of
bread and...oh my..where did that darn thing go???
