someone you love

As the saying goes, "staying with someone you really love even if you know that it is better letting go is like standing under the rain, it do feel good but you know it will make you sick".
Do you believe in this saying? Would you prefer staying with someone you love even if you both know that life would be a lot better without each other.. or would you prefer giving up your love and let go of each other.. Have you ever experienced a similar situation as this? Feel free to share it!

At the moment I am feeling that, I know that we will be better if we will live a separate lives. Letting go is the best solution but how will I do it when letting go of him brings so much hurt....
