MEATS??? The number one cause of GLOBALWARNING!!!Is that true???

When I was watching news... I have seen three vegetarian girls protesting... "MEAT IS THE NUMBER ONE CAUSE OF GLOBAL WARNING". I was wondering, "How can meat affect the global warning?" It doesn't have any connection with global warning. Am I right??? Meats only affect our health but not global warning. What can you say about the news I've seen? Ummm... If meats really affect global warning... would you please tell how or why. Please response.
