I've been looking for a software that can detect effectively both viruses and spyware etc. I'm using Kaspersky right now. It is a great software for viruses but not when it come to internet security(it let many spywares, adwares pass through). Any suggestion please?

for me the best anti virus is avast because im using it for over 2 years and i don't experience any virus, at it updates every day i think or every other day and when it's finished updating it will speak saying that if has finished downloading updates, the edge of this anti virus to other anti viruses is that it is for free, you'll just register in their site and they will send and e-mail regarding the activation code, in terms of spyware the most effective is spy doctor..

I made a post on a similar topic, and here are my thoughts on the matter:
Your system ideally should have protection against viruses, spyware, adware, Trojans, rootkits, and unauthorized entry and input/output of data.
I concur that Kaspersky is a great application when it comes to dealing with viruses, and I'd supplement it with Windows Defender (antispyware), Zone Alarm firewall (for unauthorized access and to regulate which ports on the computer are open), CrapCleaner for maintenance and checking your system Registry, Process Explorer and Microsoft Autoruns for checking which processes are happening on your computer, and Rootkit Revealer or IceSword to deal with rootkits.
Of course, you don't have to install all of them, just install those you see fit.
