Has anybody seen this movie? I recently watched it and I really enjoyed it. It contained plenty of action and it was one of those movies that kept you thinking all the way through. It was an edge of your seat type of movie. I was really surprised when it ended suddenly after the sherriff talks about his dreams. All that I could figure out was that the good guy died and the bad guy got away. I was wondering if there was anything else about the ending that was important to the whole story. Is that speech about the sheriff's dreams at the end important to the rest of the sotry? Anyway, just wondering if I was missing a pooint, or if the ending was meant just to leave you thinking. Other than that, I thought the movie was great. FOr those of you who have not seen it, I highly recommend it.

Hi, I beg to differ. I went ahead to watch this movie because of the publicity it got winning so many academy awards. After going through it I was dissapointed big time. For this type of movie (before i saw it i cannot figure which type it belong to) I would prefer Hitcher. Yes it left us hanging because of the ending - are they going to make an another movie about it ? It has no true message or any inspirational moments. To me for the best supporting actor, the one in Michael Clayton is much better. And from the "air time" given to the characters, was Josh Brolin the main actor ? He talked less (same like the supporting actor) and his "air time" I reckon is the same as the supporting actor. Well thats my opinion anyway. The movie is good but it was not great and i dont think it deserve so much award.

I am not sure that it was a dream. He was talking about a dream, but I think it was a reflection of what happened in the movie.

I thought it was a really good movie, too, and sometimes I do like those kind of ambiguous endings that leave you thinking, but the movie just kind of ended, you know? It seemed like it could've gone on a little bit longer. But it was still great, and having a silencer on a shotgun is pretty cool, too :p The air compressor thing was also an interesting idea. Oh, by the way, not that it matters a whole lot to me since I have seen the movie, but for future reference you might want to include some kind of spoiler warning in the title of a discussion like this since it gives away the ending.

Yeah the movie did seem like it could have shown more about the end after the bad guy leaves. Yeah probably shoulda put that warning, but I didn't think about it, my bad.

This was the best movie I have seen in years. I believe the ending stayed true to the philosophical ending of the book even though it left some in Hollywood disappointed. Here is a good blog covering some of the debate of the ending: http://glennkenny.premiere.com/blog/2007/11/a-ghost-and-a-d.html I also just recently saw There Will Be Blood, another very good movie but not nearly as good as No Country

I saw it a couple of weeks ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. I didn't like the ending, but I like closure and the ending kind of left you thinking. Maybe that's what it was supposed to do. It also left the door open for a possible sequel down the road.
