My mom is like a giant kid!

"acting way too young for her age"??? Hhhmm and just out of curiousity, how do you think she SHOULD be acting? What behaviour is "age appropriate" for her at the tend yrs of 60??..Sorry but I say all the power to her!! She obviously has a lust and love for life still so why shouldnt she enjoy herself?! Gods know that when I'm in my 60s and 70s should I still be alive I'll be kickin up my heels

Hello, I love my Mom too, she is in her 70's. My Mom has worked almost all her life. She married at 17 then had 3 babies. So, keeping busy and trying to have some fun is good. Short skirts are for the young ones with a nice figure. It is important to think young just don't act too young, then people think you are strange. Enjoy your Mother, time is short. Sometimes and we need to appreciate the ones we LOVE and not worry too much of the past mistakes.

I know what you mean. My mom is 55 and she seems to have a more active social life than I do! I really admire her though. Nothing seems to slow her down and after working 2 jobs one during the day and one at night I think that she deserves a little mom party time. Have you tried talking to her about it? Maybe all she really needs is a good friend. Sometimes people go out and do those things when they are lonely. About the short skirts, take her shopping!

Hi clash123, How old is she? You know, some people said that old people, ... The more old they are, the more childish they turn in. It's because the works of body system, If you called it a machine, they got rusting. So with a little bit patient and "frequent maintenance" It will work's just fine :D It's our time to taking care of them, right. Be brave! you can do it!!!

Humm, I don't know what to say. My mom is going to be 55 at the end of this year and I couldn't imagine her doing these things. Maybe it is that your mom is afraid of getting older and doesn't want it to slow her down. Maybe she wants to prove to everyone that she is young at heart still. I don't know, I mean getting older can be scary, I mean I freak out when I think that in 18 years I will be 50..wow. Not that I think 50 is old... It just doesn't seem possible, so I can kinda understand her being upset about it. Maybe you should just sit and talk calmly with her to see if you can get any answers as to why she is doing the things she is doing. Have a great day!

It sounds like she is enjoying her life. Who are you to say she not acting her age. Your as young as you feel.

maybe this is her way of telling herself she is not getting older but just better. don't get too upset with her she is probably just trying to stay young at heart. now days sixty is not all that old as a lot of us are still going strong at eighty. Don't scold her she will settle down soon enough.
