I went and finally got myself a flash drive or pen drive, after years of first

putting my documents on those big five inch drives, then those A drives, and then Cds and finally DVDs. I missed the zip drives. They were too expensive. So when I decided to cash in my Future Shop gift card for a pen drive, that was worth over $70, but was at half price. I seem to have this instinctual gift for bargains. So now instead of lugging the Cds along with me when I go on a trip, all I have to do is to insert the pen drive, load my drafts of my novel, and work elsewhere.
Now if I had only enough money to buy a laptop, I would be happy.

I was wondering where the discussion went. I thought it had been deleted. So I will have to go on those sites and find some more applications. I do have the portable apps. but have not gotten anything from pendriveapps. so I will have to bookmark them.

I will have to do some very heavy hinting. My younger son keeps giving me Body Shop products, and I am allergic to them and I have to keep writing longer on myLot.

You did get a bargain, and I bet if you keep on looking the time will come when you will find a a good bargain on a laptop. You will really appreciate it when you do.

They had 8 gig flashdrives for $29.00 at Future Shop, but as soon as they came in, they were sold out, so I kept going down until I got one. Now I can put all my documents and music files on it, and still have room left over.

Wow, congrats!
I still haven't bought any for myself but someone gave me a free gift he got which was the drive. So I am using that little 1gb thingy now.
I would love to get a laptop too.

I am getting much closer to one. I am half way there, if I take all the money out of my high interest savings account. I was lucky I got mine on sale, now I want to know is why the slot so they can go on a key chain is way too small. Now I have to slip them in my purse when I go out. And I do not want my nails to split.

Now I have to learn how to put them on my keychain without breaking my finger nails. It seems that the thingamagibb you put the keys on is too thick and too tight and the little handle for the flashdrives way too small. It is getting so frustrating. I guess I will have to keep them loose in my purse.

That is great. I am not that knowledgeable when it comes to computers to make full use out of it. I know the basics and that is about it. I get by though.
