Should guns be banned?

should people have the right to own a gun? weapons have gone a long way in history... from spears, clubs etc. to nuclear warheads, laser guided missles and atom bombs... with guns being one of the most common used and seen in media.

I think they should be banned. They should be lagal for police and the army etc but not public. Have you heard Chris Rocks comedy sketch where he says that bullets should be $3000 each? Thats really funny. If they are banned, there will be no more shootings, it seems like the obvious answer to me.
