If everyone on the planet was a millionaire then the cost of everything would rise and millionaires would have as hard a time as people that have nothing do now. I don't think that you can equate money with happiness anyway. All that money does is buy you things. But it can't buy you love, affection, respect, health, or general well being.

Thanks for your invaluable comment. But, would you agree with me that the world should not have poverty, not in this day and age. What do you feel, should people be poor?

There should be a fair distribution of the essentials for life. Housing, warmth and food. A well balanced economy will always have some that are richer and many that are poorer. Even communist states have that. But abject poverty, where people die for want of the basics is incompatible with modern life.

Hwello, warrenbrown! How could you think that all the wealthy people in this earth are happy.non of them is happy.on the other hand the poor who lives away from the metro cities is leading happy life as he has no wants.what he earns he spends for his living and nothing more he desires in life and that is why he is happy.as per your version if everyone in this earth would be a millionaire he would be a diseased person must be,as he would be sitting idle, doing no physical labor.in this earth,in the present days,no body is happy as all are running after money.thank you.

No, money doesn't make you happy or loved, or even have job that you like. Even if everyone has money it won't grant you those things which is the true root to happiness. That's why even some rich people aren't happy and some less wealthy are the happiest people you'll encounter. Of course, no starving people are happy but there's lots of room between wealth and starving.

I'm absolutely certain that no one should be poor and underresourced.

I have read that Buckminster Fuller stated that there was enough wealth on the planet for everyone to go around more than once(I believe he said it would be like four times). With that thought stated, I cannot say for sure whether folks would be happy per se, but can't no one say they didn't get their full share or so. Happy? perhaps, but with the world flawed as it now is, no I don't believe so.

One more thought. Donald Trump and Robert Kiyoski has teamed up to write a book called "Why We Want You to Be Rich" quite revealing. In their estimation, the middle class as we know it in the U.S. is shrinking especially with high gas prices and high food prices, so...that makes for more folks in poverty and so many rich, their proposal is to become wealthy. Interesting book.

although i dont think money could buy happiness, it certainly helps. if you could pay all your bills with no worries, be able to afford vacations, afford gas, groceries, etc ppl would be alot better off. when u dont have money, it causes alot of stress.

Thank you for your practical comment. We should all have enough money so that we do not have to get stressed about earning money to pay our bills. Would you agree with me that poverty and money stress has no place in the world today, not in the 21st Century?

No, of course not. No matter how much a person has, for some of them it is never enough. That is one reason. Another would be the competitive factor, some people have to be more, bigger, wealthier than others. The other is the fact that is an old saying: Money can't buy happiness. Or love, or respect, or peace of mind.

No, they wouldn't. Money cannot buy happiness. It would just make people greedy & more competitive, trying to out-buy each other. It's a proven fact that those without much money are usually happiest, and are more giving. 'Rich' people are not usually satisfied easily - they have everything so get bored. They are also tighter with their money.

Thanks for the comment. You are right, but the poorest people in the world are the real millionaires of today, do you agree?

I dont think people in this planet will be happy. They always look up... if they already be the same for become millionaires, they probably become greedy to be multibillionaires, millionmillionaires... all men are beings who never feel satisfy with everything they had!
if all people become millionaire, there's no poor people... maybe nobody will work hard, since they can buy everything with their money, nobody will work, except the greedy ones. I think people in the world will look down on the meaning of money! There's no grateful hearts... because they are thinking everything is easy...

Well maybe not cy but they would be MUCH happier than they are now. You now why? Because it's been shown that people are most happy when the people around them and their friends have similar amounts of money. If everyone has a million dollars then that solves that.
Also, everyone having a million dollars would equal out the power among the people much more than it is now. People would bully each other less, and they would be equal. Isn't that what communism tried to do but failed(i'm going to get killed by the communist nuts)?

By saying everyone is a millionaire then you can also say that no would be rich since for you to become rich someone else has to be poor. The answer to your question is no. It's human nature to want more.
If everyone is a millionaire then all the prices on everything would also cost millions.
I think though this would happen because prices and wages always goes up. Remember that if you had a few hundred dollars before you would be considered rich. Most of the items we bought before costs only a few cents but now the prices are much higher than before.
Maybe in a few hundred years everyone would be millionaires but the prices around us would also cost millions. :) Still it would be the same as now... no one would be happy.
and besides... how do you know your happy if no one else is sad? How do you know your rich when no one is poor?
It's kinda a Yin/Yang thing.

i doubt. once everyone was millionaire, some will be clean broke, and some will be billionare. the best wishes will not come true, becasue of human nature.
i doubt. if a million can only bought a bag of bread^^^^, the world is the same with today's. just expansion of the currency.

I think if everyone was a millionaire, then they would feel they are poor and would need to achieve billionaire status. All those millionaires would be middle-class folks...speaking of which, nowadays you have to be a millionaire to be middle class.

Will the prices stay the same as they are now? If so yes some people would be happy, some will not be happy no matter how much money they have.
