Indeed the aussies will , a player like Gilchrist doesn't come every day he was just an awesome player ... A matchwinner losing him certainly would affect the australian team but to their advantage australia have other match winners too

Its a great loss i agree, but i think that if one retires then they are making a way for other young generation its good for cricket and Australia.

Adam is a great player. Not only aussies but we also miss his professionalism which he shows in all departments. I don't think it affects that much for the Aussies but they lose a great wicket keeper. And not to mention his all round capabilities in both formats of cricket.

Mate, Aussies are known for their professionalism and doing their job to the best of their abilities. Hence, i do not see Adam's retirement as a botheration at all. There will be another super star and you will still see Aussies at #1 position with India threatening them every now and then for the same position.,
