why does God not stop suffering if He is the ruler of the universe and can stop anything?

Maybe he does not excist,except only in peoples minds. I think some people need something else in there lives so they take a religion or they are brought up to beleiving in 1

I think the world would not exist nor would civilization without religion. Since if there is no religion, there is no purpose in the world.
