What ideas do you have to help your environment?

Remember it's our environment so what would you like to see change. If you could present a proposal to your local government or local authority what would that be? I would like to see a massive reduction in advertising mail. Shoppers can go online to find what's for sale, what's on special. I don't need a massive catalogue showing me what stationery there is available - I just go to a website. I can feel some people cringe at the prospect of not getting their advertising mail! So what great ideas do you have that would help the environment?

One idea I can give is that we all have to drive our vehicles with least use of 'horn'. This would help cut down the noise pollution levels drastically.

LOL, yes a bit of peace and quiet every now and then helps get you through the day as well. Noise pollution is also something to be added to environmental preservation, thanks for your idea.

I think if the government would worry more about what is happening in our countries instead of the environment and all there global warming and crap the environment would be fine. I the day of my grand mother they never had all these dieseses and they had a longer life span than what people have now so I would say leave the environment alone and worry about houseing for the homeless and healthcare for they got that outrageous too high but they always seem to find one disease or another to make up to get people worry and go to the doctor..just my opinion I will continue using my 4 wheelers and burning my wood for heat and planting my gardens for food...

Healthcare and the homeless are definitely issues that need to be addressed. Global warming effects everyone regardless of what country you live in. Perhaps in Minnesota you don't have the pollution that other states produce which is great if it is the case. In the day of my grandmother there were lots of diseases like chicken pox, scarlet fever, polio, cholera. One of my grandmothers actually had a mild case of polio and had to wear a leg brace for a time. I suppose the diseases are different now, not so much less of it but different. Great that you grow your own food, organics is big business these days. Take care and thanks for your post.
