I assume our Muslims neighbors just need to explain how their religion is good and they are misunderstood. Well, here is your chance because I really want to hear it.

religion is neither good nor bad. If you look at the basic principals in any religion, islam, christianity, judaism, taoism, buddhism.... they're all founded upon the same things, love for one another, do no harm, give thanks for the life you are given, help those who are in need.... those are the foundation of almost every religion. The problems come when man decides to impose his own opinions into religious doctrine, its been going on for centuries so that today, most faiths are warped to the point that they are unrecognizable from their origins.
Muslims are not the only people who have done terrible things in the name of their god. Christians have been doing it for centuries. Most of the most horrific attrocities in history have been in the name of christianity. think of the witch burnings or the inquisition which killed hundreds of thousands. so many things done in the name of a god who represents only love.
It seems to be human nature to hate that which we perceive to be different than ourselves instead of looking deeper to find what is similar, what connects us. Every muslim is not a terrorist any more than every catholic priest is a pedo. think about it, and think about judging each person for their individual actions and not as a group.

you are so right, it seems like all we ever do is hurt one another. violence only causes more violence, and it just goes on and on. Its so hard not to want to retaliate when you feel like you're being attacked but there has to be another option.
This war.. i hate it so much, all of our men that are dying, all of their people that are dying, there has to be another solution.
