I had a cake mix and it called for eggs but then realized I had not eggs..I am not a big fan of eggs..So I made the recipe without egss and it still tasted great..
What about you? Have you ever made cake mixes and left the eggs out..Guess you can almost call it cholestorol free?
Why are the eggs necessary for the batter? I thought eggs held the mixture together.?

I do not think that the eggs hold the batter together. I think that the eggs may give it a richer or even just different taste. I am not much of a cake eater, but I had a just add water cake once and well maybe that is why I am not much of a cake eater, hehe.

I am not a cake eater either..but had a friend ask me to get this cake and make it.. so I did.
I really have very little appetite for cookies or cakes..although, I do like peanutbutter cookies that are fresh and not too hard.

That's interesting! I have never tried making a cake without eggs before, but I never thought that it would work without the eggs. I am kind of surprised that the cake turned out the same way, but it is good to know for future reference in case I ever run out of eggs while baking! It does seem like it would cut down on the cholesterol. I think I may have to try making a cake without eggs sometime in the future just to see what it is like. You've really got me curious! hehe :)
