My dd is eight and I can't help but notice so many changes are happening for her this year. She's become more observant of the people around her, her physical appearance, her behavior, etc.... I can't believe that in less than five years we'll have a teenager on our hands. Times are definitely different than when I was her age:)

Well,I can't paste and copy yet but Wikipedia says that tween age is usually from 8 to 12(as in "teen" and "between"). Of course, each person is different:)

LOL. I never even thought to actually look it up. I'm just in awe that so many things are happening so early it seems:(

You're just being a parent:)
I am 23 and my mom just won't understand i'm all grown. Been living on my own thousands of miles away for a few years and when i come and visit she still worries if i stay out after 10 pm:)

That's funny:) Our family still acts like that when we go back home to visit and we have three kids, lol. One would think we would be capable of acting reasonable, but they still treat us like we're five:)

I don't think the term "tween" was used for us back in the day. There were pre-teens and I always thought that started out about 12. My almost 9 year old infomred me the other day that she will officially be a tween in a week. So I guess it starts around 9 and goes till 12ish. This is a new term for me.
But I hear ya on times are changing. She acts a lot older this year. More concious of the way other people view her. More concious about fashion, make up(which she has a natural knack for) and B O Y S ughhhh.
I think she grew about an inch over the last month too.
