This is a question that bothered me every time I travelled to the USA (until now six times, and I hope for more): WHY is the stuff for handkerchiefs (Kleenex) and toilet paper always so thinn?
In Germany, "Tempo" (our first known brand for handkerchiefs) and (any) toilet paper have several layers; so you can easily handle it. Not so in the USA. Toilet paper usually has only one layer, and you have to use lots of it to do what you need to do with it..ugh.
I heard, it's possible to buy stuff with more substance, but it's expensive. I'm really wondering about this....

Kleenex is so thin because it's supposed to be used for delicate matters like blowing your nose lol
Now,toilet paper depends on the brand and the price. Try toilet paper marked "ultra strong" and you won't believe your eyes and your experience:)))))

Thanks for the comment! Blowing one's nose is, in fact, the cause why Kleenex doesn't come up to the task. It doesn't even stand one stark blow without falling apart....lol.
