Hi. i am a newly licensed massage therapist and am looking to increase clientele. i dont have my own office. i travel to peoples homes to do massage in their own home. because i do it in their home, i can only work on a referral basis so that i know they are trusting. i cant just walk into anyones home or they might try something that i dont approve of. so with that bein said, how can i increase my clientele base. i have been giving family members massages and my sister called me and said someone from her work was interested. my mom sells avon and has a lot of customers so i typed up a letter that she could staple to their bags when delivering her orders. i got a one call from one of her customers so far. what else can i do to increase clientele so i can start making some moneY!

You might try talking to some chiropractors. I used to go to a chiropractor who had massage therapists on his staff because he found it easier to make adjustments after the patient had a soothing massage to relax his/her muscles. Good luck!

thanks for your response. i actually go to a chiropractor every other week for adjustments. she knows i went to school for massage but hasnt ever brought anything up to me and i just thought if i asked her she might not want to be bothered with me. maybe i should talk to her and see if i could post something up in the office. thanks for your advise
