I know the children's milk powder price will increase for about 20%. Before that, I especially bought a lot for my son. He is little, so milk is still important for him. As I need it for some time, so I'd better to buy more before the price has increased. Besides this product, I haven't stocked anything yet. Such as the rice and oil which they are much more expensive than before.

I just recently bought three months supply of laundry soap, bath soap, toothbursh, and dishwashing soap... at least with these items... i don't need to worry about the expiration dates...
I was also planning to stock up some rice... but the good variety was already sold out... so i would have to wait until it becomes available in the supermarket...

Yea it surprised me that it seems everything on sale is sold out now in the supermarket, I guess one has to be really fast to grab the goodies.

Hello wondericequeen,
My house is like a store room as I love to stock up things. With the recent price increased of rice, flour, cooking oil and etc, I started my favorite habit which I had stopped long time ago. The difference is, I think that I act cleverly this time.

If I see something on sale, I stock up. But that is creating problems. Some store shelves have "sorry we are out of this item, we will work hard to supply this item in the future." Luckily, in America, so many companies supply us that if one is temporarily out, a few others are there, too.
Lately, due to lack of money and getting ready for gardening, I haven't really had much money for shopping.
Toilet tissue or toilet paper is the item I try to stock up on. Timely discussion, take care

I always stock up on things that are sold at a discount like razors, chocolate, toilet paper, washing up powder, and most household and food products except fresh products like milk, bread etc. Food prices are rising very quickly where I am and the savings, although not a huge amount really do add up. I am lucky enough to live close to several different supermarkets, so I can look at the offers online and then pop into a few different ones to get the best prices and stock up.

The savings could not be viewed on short-term but you'll be surprised on how much you have saved in the long-run.

We stock up on a lot of things when they are on sale. If I see Toilet Paper, Napkins or Scott Towels on a huge discount, we get a bunch. We do the same with Canned foods and sometimes even cleaning supplies. Basically these things will never get old, so stocking up on them when there is a sale can save me a few bucks in the long run.

True that's what I usually did when I was living alone and mom was still traveling somewhere, but now it's her job! *laughs*.

no, we do not because it is useless because you still usre it and you only save only a few dollars and besides that what makes items becomes scarce for other people and alos results to high prices. stocking up or hoarding means that we are helping prices to go up.

True! It's getting worse and worse! I start to think now even though I have an OK salary, it seems that it's hard to maintain a lifestyle now.
