Okay, Friends. Back then I started a discussion asking whether anyone got the articles about "drinking too much water can cause blindness" and asking what would really be the safe drink for us. The previous discussion was here: http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/1481627.aspx
Many thanks for you all that have responded to my discussion and provided many valuable facts, opinions and points of view and even with some links to various articles related to water.
I still got conclusion that it was unbelievable for most of us that drinking too much water would cause blindness. How much is too much? Many of us have asked.
And to my shock, some myLotters have provided these links that mentioned the case:

http://infernokidd.blogspot.com/2008/01/blindness-from-too-much-water.html
The case happened to a 26 years old Taiwanese woman back then. (No wonder that the article mentioned by the older people in my neighborhood was written in Chinese language, the language that I'm still illiterate in)
And to make me wonder ... how would we know the safety of the water we would drink then??? It seems that "enough will have to be enough" and we cannot have "too much" on consuming everything, no exception.
Too much can be deadly, even if it is water.
Wow ... so, we still need to know the limit for everything we take or consume. * gulp *

Well I don't know that drinking to much H2O will make you blind. Thanks for the info at least now I know that it should be limitation on it. This time it summer here and it hot so we drink a lots of H2O. It seems that I don't believe but if they prove it's true then there is no harm in following to it.

Thanks so much for the links and the update of the water discussion as an add to the previous one. Now after reading this discussion of yours, I think that it sounds reasonable that either drinking or eating something too much is not good to us. How much is too much is a problem for us to know. Well, I think that the so-called "too much" is supposed to be the limit that we feel that we have had enough, then we stop drinking and eating the stufff that we consume. Because everyone can be different based on his own body situation. So when you have already had enough, that is ok and any more beyond that could be seen as "too much". This is my humble opinion. Thanks again, dear bkps.

you're welcome, williamjisir. I was shocked too reading those articles and felt the need to share with myLotters here.
well, yes, I believe we cannot brutally just consume everything because the body still has the limit to absorb and to digest. usually I would only drink when I felt thirsty and when I felt the thirst was gone, then I stopped it until I got thirsty again. this is also the same to the foods. so the "enough" rules still apply even for water drinking. and I just thought "wow".

It is widely know n sicentific fact that drinking too much water can kill you. It happened that she did go blind.
If you notice: "The amount of water she drank daily is more than three times the recommended daily consumption for sedentary adults." Of course you are going to have a side effects. People need to use their brains. Who can even drink that much in one day and not get ill from it? I bet she fainted from not eating.
Could you imagine what would have happened to her if she was drinking contaminated water?

I am dashing off so I have not read the websites that you have posted YET. I do know that there is such a thing as water poisioning. That is from taking in too much water. I think it strips your body of the kind of thing that is in Gatoraide.
It has nothing to do with the content of the water. I have read recently that the recomendations of 8 - 10 eight ounce glasses of water has been reduced to 6 - 8. I hope this helps.
I am beginning to think that nothing is truely pure or heathly for us any more. The Bees are dying and there is another animal or bug that is dying. If we have no bees there will be no fertiization for crops. Then what do we do?
