So many countries these days have english as their first or second language.
Also most americans speak English which is where my problem lies...
Why do they/you have to change the spelling??
Things like Favour and Favor mean the same thing.
But If i type it into an American site eg. Mylot then it comes up with underline to say that I'm the one who's spelt it wrong!!!
I think its a little unfair and if people wish to use the English language they should accomodate the same spelling and not change things.
No offence to anyone at all, I just think its real silly.

The US broke away from England over 200 years ago. As one way of showing our independence we streamlined our spelling. After 200 years, we are not changing our spelling now.
It is not like we just started doing this. The words you are complaining about have been in existence for CENTURIES. And their spelling has changed over time. Spelling used to be a heckuva lot more casual than it is now. When it began to solidify, we solidified with our spelling and the British with theirs. So, they stuck.
