What is the best thing anyone has said about you?

As a child I preferred hanging out with boys rather than playing with other girls. When I was about 12 years old I was in a race with 4 or 5 boys, and I came second. One boy looked at me with admiration and said I was not like other girls, I was more like a boy! At the time I did have a few mixed feelings about what he said, but really I don't think I have ever been more pleased, and it was meant as a big compliment.
What is the highest praise or biggest compliment you ever had?

the best things that anyone said to me would have happend twice for me probably. i usually dont get praises from other people, its usually my older sister that's being praised or my younger brother since they are more outgoing than i am and im happy for them. the 1st compliment that i really appreciate came from my teacher. we were taking an exam that day and was down because i did bad on a previous exam we did. when i submitted my paper to my teacher in front he talked to me for a while in a soft manner and said 'what happened to your last exam?' "you can do better than that, YOU ARE BETTER THAN THAT." and it hit me right in the ticker that my teacher noticed that in me. that he thinks and believes i can do better. i know that its his job to encourage students but ive never really felt close with teachers and i really appreciated what he said, it made an impact on me. the 2nd compliment i heard was from my father's co-worker. one day noticed a part of my face that she liked when everyone else didnt notice it when we all had lunch together. and that moment made me feel pretty and happy because she noticed a very little thing thats a part of me that everyone else didnt notice. i love it when people notice the little things in life.. its like they really pay attention to it.

Those are good examples. Both people said things that made you feel better about yourself and it's important that you should feel good about yourself.

best thing someone told me was that i have grounded morals, and im a beautiful person inside and out. there's more to it... actually... best is that these words came from someone i love and who loves me.
its the best cause he sees my worth.

Every time someone says thank you to me pleases me. Doesn't matter what for, passing the salt even. There is a discussion running now on this site that is thanking me for something. It really wasn't necessary, but I am touched that it is there all the same.

the biggest compliment I ever got was from a lady in myhometown. I was working as a nurses aid in our Rapid City hospital when this lady started to turn blue and seemed to be gasping for air. I quickly got the oxygen tank over to her bedside and put the mask over her face and turned it on while I pressed her bedside button and got the floor nurse to come in at once and check her.The lady was a friend from my home town. she had pneumonia and they then put her in an oxygen tent and she was just fine. I later that week went home for the weekend and Imet her in our local grocery store. she stopped me and told everyone that I had saved her life. I was embarrassed but secretly pleased as so often no body praises the nurses aids.

The biggest praise I have gotten was a 98 on my art project in high school, You may not think that is much but this woman critiqued EVERYTHING! and she has rarely given a grade over and 80 unless she thinks it's truely good. I'm proud of that piece and me being able to do it, and also flattered at how she critiqued my work!

As far as i can remember, I always tried to impress my father. When I was kid, I've always studied hard to be the best student in school. I'd do everything to make him proud of me. Until I had enough of trying and went abroad. I started to lead a new life and tried hard to finish my study. Living alone on the other side of the world was very hard for me. I didn't know how to endure it anymore, and then my dad called and say that he's proud of me. That was the best thing anyone has said to me...

I'm so pleased he was able to tell you. Often people just don't think to say how proud they are of someone.

Sometimes it is really necessary to praise or give nice compliments to other people for some nice things they have done or achieved -as necessary as when you hear praises or your works are being appreciated. I believe that people need to be praised just like the way people praise you for a good deed.
It's a big compliment for me when people appreciates the things I do for them.
