I love going through the car wash as i dont have to do anything, but my local car wash is not very good. It doesnt get everything off, so i have to do touch ups when i get home anyway. Because of that, i may aswell save time and money and do it myself at home. I wouldn't get someone else to do it. It would make me feel lazy. It's really not a big job.

when we have the time, car washing is the bonding moment for my husband and our 4-yr old son... they just love getting wet and having soap suds all over them... we also bring our car to the carwash as we love the food at their resto...

I prefer to wash it myself, but at a car wash. I use the car washes where you do it yourself. We can't really do it at home as there is no car washing allowed. That, and there are no hose outlets anywhere. I, sometimes, go out and take a bucket and some window cleaner and clean off the car at home when it's not too dirty. But, once in a while, I have to take it and spray the dirt off really hard.
I don't take it to automatic car washes because they are hideously expensive.
