We all know that breastfeeding is still the best for babies as compared to milk formula and should be done until the baby reaches 2 years of age but I have seen mothers who still opt not to breastfeed or to stop breastfeeding early.
How about you? Are going to breastfeed or have you breastfed your children or not?
I wanna know the reasons behind the refusal to breastfeed. What are the disadvantages if there are any. Please share your thoughts and experiences.
Comments please. ^_^

My milk wasn't adequate because both my sons made me feel like a cow--never could get them on a schedule, they were always hungry, we couldn't do anything or go anywhere because I would always have to nurse them. My mother had the same problem and believe me, we both tried!!
I think that nursing is essential the first month of life at least, but should continue as long as possible before at least one year of age. I continued but supplemented with formula, as my mom did. The important thing is to hold them and love them as they feed, talk to them and let them know they're wonderful people.
Women who refuse to nurse aren't bad or anything, they're just--in my opinion--a bit lacking in maternal instinct due to the media interference saturation of our lives and confusion as to their role in life. If they are mothers, they're invested in their children and husband. If they feel they have to have a career, too, they're even more confused and don't feel allegiance to their children, husband or anyone else. This is the fault of the media, the "sociologists" and the people who are so dissatisfied with their own lives that they achieve the notoriety that enables them to impose their views on gullible people who don't have confidence in their own integrity and instincts.

Well I am not a mother myself but I do believe that it is vital for a mother who can produce milk to give it to their children for their child's benefit. I think this is very important to protect the baby early on from diseases and many other.
