To find a job or not is not my own business?

Parents of my boyfriend called him last evening and asked again how my job was again. Then we felt pressure again. My boyfriend felt the pressure from his family and also the economy. For me, I was a little bit afraid of losing my boyfriend's face. I hope I can write to live or to find a way to support myself instead of sitting in the office for at least 8 hours a day. I want to make good use of the working time to have a career. But if I do not go to find a job, I am abnormal in the society. What shall I do? I kept on praying and praying last night and hope God can help me figure out what my direction is. Can I go my own way or the environment does decides something. How I wanted to live as I wish! It is raining outside.

I understand how you are feeling. Since I do not have a 'job' my mom's husband thinks that I do not work. I guess he thinks I am just magically able to pay my bills. For this reason he kicked me out, said he wasn't going to help out someone who wouldn't work. I tried to explain to him that I make enough money doing freelance writing to support me while I'm going to school, but he doesn't get it. I think people that have had to work hard their whole lives find it very difficult to understand. Go your own way and do whatever is going to make you the happiest.

well i think its better to get your own business but with doing that you have alot more responsibility because if something goes wrong then its you to be blamed as for working for someone you just do the job you was haired to do and not worry about anything. But then working for yourself you are your own Boss.
