I had a very interesting day,I started with an unexpected trip to the emergency room first thing this morning,It started last night with having itching everywhere on my body and I woke up in hives!!I was like OMG what is wrong with me,as I was red alover my body and couldn't quit itching. They said it looked like a allergic reaction, but I ma not allergic to anything,So they they said it couldn't be explained because some times it happens and have no explaination.
Has anything like this ever happened to you?Why couldn't it be explained,I ask myself,It happened for a reason?

I had this happen to me when I was in my late 20's.
It turned out to be nerves/stress. Finally went away after about 10 days on Benadryl. Break out in hives, take a pill & sleep peacefully for 4 hours, then after being up for an hour or two, it starts all over again. I am not allergic to anything either.
So glad that has not happened since.
I hope you get relief and stay well.

Interesting. Ya know, my son gets hives and isn't allergic to anything. I wish I could remember what it is called, I know it starts with a "z" and it is 12 or so letters long. Anything - heat, cold, stress, etc - can cause it to come out. He hasn't have an "attack" in about 4 years now. It use to get really bad though, all started when he got one of his series of shots. He broke out in a weird rahs about 2 weeks after, and then randomly he would get the rash an hives, plus if you would lightly trace your fingernail on him, he would get a welt. He may not even have an outbreak again, or he may suffer from it all through high school (which is normally when this manifests).
The doctor that finally diagnosed him said that she had patients with it and had never seen this manifest in a child so young. That he may have to permanently be on a medicine like Claritin when he is a teenager to have it under control.
