Business and politics, some say, is unseparatable things. Instead, both are intercorrelated. In Indonesia there are many businessmen who turn to political life. With their vast wealth, they can buy supports or even power. With their wealth, people believe he will not use his power to enrich himself or to build his fortunes. No wonder, people are always told not to elect unwealthy figures, instead they prefere to support wealthy leader. Since then, from Jakarta to provinces, most formal leaders are businessmen turned politicians. So they have Jusuf Kalla, the VP of Indonesia. He is one of prominent businessmen in Indonesia. They also have Abdillah, the Mayor of Medan City. He used to be a contractor for real-estate industry. You can find the same thing in another areas around Indonesia, especially in the potential cities/towns economically.

Hello, bbsr....
I hope you live not in a country where politicians make politics the medium of earning money. I also hope you are not serious about "their business to invest large sums in elections and once after they get elected they make enormous money from different sources...."
Nevertheless, in fact I talked about businessmen who turn their eyes to politics. By entering political flora businessmen expect to have vast access to influence any policy that could effect their business interest. With political power in hands, they get all tools not only to influnce the decision-making process, but also to assure that their business interest is protected.
