How do I earn more with my existing blog?

I was kinda disappointed with how much i'm earning with my adsense in my blog. What other ways can I do to enhance whatever it is that I'm earning today. Are there any other ads that is allowed to be used with google's adsense? What are the ways that I can do to get more traffic to my site? Do you have a blog and what do think makes it effective? Tell me all about your advices because it would really help. Thanks! I will mark the best answer soon!

I do sponsored posting on my blogs to generate more money. There are a few different companies out there that you can write small blog posts for, and they will pay you about $5-20 (and sometimes more). To get more traffic, I recommend listing your blog at blog directory sites, and by commenting on other blogs. Most people will return the favor.

How do you get a hold of these companies? What do they usually ask you to blog about? 5 to 20 dollars per post is really not that bad. If you write at least 5 of these posts per week you'll really get a lot. So, do you get to blog for at least 5 times a week? If that is possible you may earn 200 dollars at the very least. Wow, that would really help me a lot considering what I earn with my current blog. Maybe I should try blogging for these companies. Lastly, how do they pay you?

Hi Lifeplayer,
I have heard about the drop of PR after posting for PPP in our blog so I dare not try it yet as I'm having PR3 currently. So I'm currently with Blogvertise only.
I think PPP will not pay us if we deleted the promised paid post right?

Thanks for all that! I'm marking your response as the best one. I have a question though, does it have to be a personal site if you were to write for pay per post? Because my blog caters to an audience sppecifically those who love hip hop and rnb so i dont really write about my personal life.
