I haven't hit writer's block or anything, but I'm looking for writing prompts just to spice things up a bit. I just want to stretch my creative muscles and see where I can from there. So, I'm basically asking if any of you know any good writing prompt websites.

It would be helpful to know if you are only interested in a particular genre or form, but if you are seeking completely random prompts, I might be able to suggest a few.
You have recently lost a treasured memento. How did it come to you? Describe it. What became of it?
A close friend, on a foreign vacation, leaves a mysterious message on your voice mail-----Elaborate on this theme.
Write about a collection of some kind and the person who collects.
Think about a personal experience which was unpleasant and write about it in a humorous way.
Write something from the point of view of an amimal, an infant, an inanimate object; anything that has no ability to speak.
Write about five variations of the same color; example- the white of a seashell, your mother's wedding gown, old parchment, a new Mercedes, a child's blanket. (Obviously, these things might have tinges of other colors, or sparkling beads, or some other contrast or shadow).
Say something about blessings and curses. How can timing or circumstances influence the good or bad effect?
Write about a pact between natural enemies, (a wizard and a dragon, a cop and a criminal for example). For good? For evil? For Power? With what result?
I write too, and I know that sometimes I just feel the need for a new spark of insight, something fresh, to boot my butt off in a new direction, lol. Consider the above a little packet of seeds with no lable; a gift from another gardener-----plant em in your fertile imagination and see what grows for you, kay?

Hello again,
It occurs to me that I might have presumed too much in thinking that my own prompts would suffice, and that I might not have addressed the whole of your post. I did some research and came up with some interesting sites for writing prompts. Some are even interactive. I one or more will work for you. Thanks for your post---I might not have even thought to research these sites otherwise, and I have bookmarked them for my own possible future reference as well.

Sorry to say I don't, but being a writer myself, maybe I could give you some idea's to get your juices flowing...
A friend gave me some assignments to help me. Let's see if they help you?
1. Write a short story about a snowman coming to life for 2 children, brother and sister.
2. Write a ryming verse about a garden bug's life.
3. Write a prayer for the world in poetic form.
Anoter word for prompt is challenge, right?
