have you ever wondered why god referred as us to sheep in the bible

im referring to the scripture passage in st.luke 15;4 and think about it and also think about the game hide and seek and see how god referred that to us

It seems to me that Jesus in the New Testiment referred to what the people could understand. They saw sheep and knew that sheep needed a shepherd to protect them against wolves etc. and also to prevent them from getting hurt as they get lost easily and might be likely to wander off and get hurt by falling off of a cliff or stuck in thorns,etc.
By using the image the people knew, he could cast himself in the role they would understand and be their Shepherd. I am not so sure about the hide and seek reference unless you perhaps are talking about something else namely the tendency of people to not see God residing within them and within all that is as when it is written I am who Am and when it is said that God is everywhere that means that there is no where God is not yet it seems God hides in full view as some people forget this truth so often and dislike and hate each other...not loving their neighbor or themselves and certainly not loving the God who is in both themselves and in their neighbors regardless of their religious affiliation, culture, ethnic background, philosophy or conduct.
