have you heard about the book she is promoting, "A New Earth"? To me it sounds like they are trying to change the way people think about Christ, and the church. There are alot of people reading it now, and she has a online radio show with the man that wrote that book. Some people say that she's trying to start a new religion. I know I may not be watching her show anymore....

Hope you don't mind my butting in here..LOL
The philosophy that Eckhart Tolle brings forth in his book A New Earth aren't new concepts actually, they have been around since time began just about. And no, neither he nor Oprah are trying to create a new religion either. Eckhart Tolle does not put down Christianity at all...he blends Christian beliefs with Buddhist, Hindu and Moslem. As his book suggest from page one..it's either people will "get it" and understand what he's saying or they will think it's a lot of garbage. One can't condemn a book that one hasn't read yet. I have read it and "get it"

What can I say? You have given me nothing to respond to.
Who is the "they" in your post?
Is there some rule that says Oprah must believe in God? Which God must she believe in?
Does Oprah have a church? What is it called?
You really need to priovide us with more info friend.

I don't know where you got your information from but Oprah happens to be a very religious and spiriturally minded person, and she most certainly doesn't have a "church" of her own

You know sometimes I really wonder about Oprah. I completely agree and am excited about all of the AMAZING things she does for practically everyone. But on the other hand, it drives me crazy how every word that comes out of her mouth is, "I did this...", "I did that...". In my mind, a person who is doing something good and this is the only reason they're doing it would mean they would not flaunt it the way she does.

From what I can gather she is a very religious woman. I wonder who these people are who say that Oprah doesn't believe in God? That's news to me!

Oprah is weird. I guess I can understand why she's so popular with women and so many people pay attention to what she says and recommends and all that, but I can't say that I admire or look up to her in any way. She's just a celebrity. It's the same with Dr. Phil. He's just some random guy that has a show. He has no authority or valuable opinion in my life and I wouldn't recommend letting him or Oprah into your life. Please. Do it for me. Thanks.
